These days, I'm mostly at home figuring out what next, where next.

Things, I believe have changed. The advent of the TCK generation and concept of home as an interaction, are perhaps testimony to this.

It has been a cold winter, speaking metaphorically, rather than meteorologically (thanks to my cold-challenged physiology).

Without going into the gory details, let me just say we were flat broke. And I mean cannot-afford-food broke ! Anyway, now all that is behind us, thankfully.

As the turn of events would have it, I am now smack in the middle of an area which is inhabited by my people, a people I inherited by virtue of birth to an ethnic group.  Now this definition of my people needs some deliberation. Is birth into an ethnicity the sole marker of a communal identity ? Is communal identity really so simple ?

Average sleeping hours are 2 hours per day now, 4 on days when I am extremely lucky.

We are over worked, understaffed, way under financed.

What used to be the amount spent in a weekend night at a pub, is double the amount I can afford to spend in a week now.

After roaming around for an hour for a new place to have dinner, I landed at a restaurant and ordered this. To my horror, I had landed up in the wrong restaurant. This was probably the only purely vegetarian restaurant in entire Korea, so I was served some rice cake like stuff, without even an iota of anything like egg or meat.
